James C. Latham was born on August 26th, 1811, in Harrison County, West Virginia.  His parents are Travis Latham and Lucinda Dulin.  Travis Latham served in the War of 1812 as a private in the 5th Regiment of the Virginia Militia.  James C. Latham also had three other brothers who served in the Civil War including: Silas Latham, Willard Smith Latham, and Calvin M. Latham.  James C. Latham was married to Rhonda Rodgers on August 15th, 1833, at Coshocton, Ohio.  James C. Latham and Rhonda Latham had two children, John L. Latham, and Marion Latham.

James C. Latham’s service in the Civil War was with the Company C, 48th Infantry Regiment.

James C. Latham’s death was in 1881.  His burial is at the Plainville, Adams County, Wisconsin, USA at the Plainville Cemetery.
