The Auxiliary to Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War is the female counterpart to the SUVCW. The women of the Auxiliary strive to keep alive the memories of our ancestors and their sacrifices for the maintenance of the Union; to aid in caring for helpless and disabled Veterans; to properly observe Memorial Day. With a date of rank of April 22, 2014, this auxiliary serves the greater Pacific Northwest. The Gov. Isaac Stevens Auxiliary is a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization.

We are pleased to announce that the Brothers of Col. Edward D. Baker Camp No. 6, SUVCW are facilitating the formation of a local Auxiliary of the Auxiliary to Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (ASUVCW).
The Auxiliary will be chartered in Salem, Oregon and will be known as Mary Ann Lee Baker Auxiliary No. 6, named in honor of the wife of our SUVCW camp’s namesake.
The ASUVCW was formally recognized as the Auxiliary to the SUVCW in 1884. As they always have, the Sisters of Baker Auxiliary will work closely alongside the Brothers of Baker Camp, as well as pursue projects of their own.
We invite you, any of your family members, friends, and/or acquaintances who reside in Oregon to become a Charter Member of the new auxiliary! Membership in the Auxiliary is open to any wife, sister, daughter, legally adopted daughter, granddaughter, great-granddaughter and so forth, niece and grandniece and so forth, age 12 and over, of a deceased or honorably discharged Soldier, Sailor or Marine who served in the Union Army, Navy or Coast Guard (including Revenue Cutter Service) during the Civil War of 1861 to 1865. Also the wife, widow, mother or legally adopted daughter of a member of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, with lineage, in good standing. Junior Members are ages 6 to 11 years old who meet any of these requirements. Those ladies who do not qualify under these requirements are invited to join as Associates.
The ASUVCW solemnly recognizes the death of Past National President Michelle Langley on April 10th, 2021 in Interlaken, New York at the age of 63. PNP Langley joined the ASUVCW in 1987 and served three different terms as New York Department President before being elected National President of the Auxiliary to the SUVCW in 2004. PNP Langley served the Order for over 33 years in a wide variety of positions, testimony to her dedication and commitment to Civil War history, education, and preservation.
